White Cliff Detailing is proudly operated by a small team of individuals. The business was founded by Jay Hall, who, along with the majority of the team, is an emergency service worker who have a passion for automotives and their care. Hence the company is more of a hobby to us rather than a second job.

A note from the owner:

The business was originally established to make productive use of spare time and to fund its own growth, allowing continued investment in better equipment, products, and techniques. Today, that same mindset remains — continuous improvement, high standards, and honest workmanship on every vehicle.

As an emergency service worker, White Cliff Detailing was also built with a strong sense of community. The business proudly offers competitive discounted rates to fellow emergency service personnel across the blue, green, and red services, as a small way of giving back.

White Cliff Detailing operates solely as a mobile detailing service meaning there is no hassle of dropping your car off for a few hours, it is all done on your street/drive. A wide range of professional vehicle cleaning services are available, and customers are also welcome to browse our store, which features trusted detailing products used daily, along with selected parts and spares acquired through vehicle restoration projects.

In addition to hands-on experience, White Cliff Detailing is backed by formal professional training. Staff hold a Level 8 Diploma in Auto Detailing, demonstrating a high level of technical knowledge in vehicle cleaning, paint correction, safe wash methods, interior care, and paint protection. This qualification ensures that every vehicle is treated using correct techniques, professional products, and industry best practices — giving customers complete confidence that their vehicle is in knowledgeable and capable hands

Although the name reflects our roots in Dover, we proudly cover East Kent, including Ashford, Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable, Thanet, Deal, Folkestone, and all surrounding areas. In many cases, we are happy to travel further where required — no request is too big, and every enquiry is welcomed.

  • What services do you offer?

    We offer a range of professional valeting and detailing services, including maintenance valets, full valet details, interior and exterior detailing, wax protection, and optional add-on services. Full details can be found on our services page.

    How do I book a service?

    Bookings can be made via our website, social media, or direct contact. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

    Do you offer mobile detailing?
    Yes, we solely provide mobile detailing services however it is subject to suitable access for water and electricity, space, and weather conditions.

    How long does a full valet or detail take?

    Service times vary depending on the vehicle size and condition. A full valet detail typically takes several hours. We will provide an estimated time at the point of booking. Each service also shows on the booking page an estimated time. At White Cliff Detailing however, we would rather take our time and have it perfect, ensuring you get your money’s worth.

    What payment methods do you accept?

    Payment is due upon completion of the service. Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, and any other methods advertised at the time of booking.

    Do I need to prepare my vehicle before the appointment?

    We recommend removing personal belongings prior to your booking. Please ensure the vehicle is accessible at the agreed time and location. Other than this however, we actually advise against preparing your vehicle, let us remove the rubbish… it is what you are paying us for!"

    What if my vehicle is heavily soiled?

    Prices are based on vehicles in average condition. Excessive dirt, pet hair, biohazards, or neglected interiors may incur an additional charge, which will be discussed before work begins. If you are concerned you may incur additional charges, do not let this put you off, simply inform us of your query and we can bottom it out prior to the taking of any payment or any booking! We do not bite and pride ourselves on our flexibility and customer support team.

    Is my vehicle safe during the detailing process?

    Yes. We use professional-grade products and safe detailing techniques. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing damage, worn materials, or manufacturer defects. Any items found within the vehicle, I.E Cash, jewellery, etc… will be placed in a zip lock sealed bag and left either on the dash or handed to you at the end of the service.

    Will detailing remove scratches and swirl marks?

    Standard valeting improves appearance but does not remove deep scratches or defects. Paint correction services may be recommended where appropriate. Scratch removal is something we can offer, do not be afraid to enquire about it by contacting us!

    How long will the wax protection last?

    Wax protection typically lasts 2–3 months, depending on driving conditions and maintenance. Proper washing will help extend its lifespan.

    When should I book my next service?

    We recommend:

    • Basic Wash every 4–6 weeks

    • Full valet every 3–6 months

    Do you offer a refer-a-friend scheme?

    Yes. Customers are automatically enrolled after their first purchase. A unique referral code is issued once and can be shared with up to three friends or family members. Each user receives £10 off their service.

    What is your cancellation policy?

    We require at least 12 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

    What happens if the weather is bad?

    Some services are weather-dependent. In cases of unsuitable weather, we may need to reschedule to ensure service quality. We do our best to ensure we able to work in the wind rain or shine and have the appropriate equipment to do so. Somethings however, cannot be helped.

    Do you take photos of vehicles?

    We may take before-and-after photos for records or marketing purposes. Vehicles are never identified without customer consent. These photos can be forwarded onto yourself after the service free of charge.

    What should I do if I’m not satisfied?

    Any concerns must be raised at the time of service completion so we can address them immediately. If you do notice any issues later on, please get in touch in order to discuss the matter.

    Kärcher K2 Pressure Washer -

    Our Kärcher K2 pressure washer is used for safely and effectively removing dirt, traffic film, moss, and grime from vehicle exteriors. It delivers controlled high-pressure cleaning that’s tough on dirt but gentle on paintwork, wheels, arches, and trims when used correctly. This allows us to achieve a deep clean without causing damage.

    Vax SpotWash-

    The Vax SpotWash is ideal for deep cleaning vehicle interiors. It injects cleaning solution directly into fabric and carpeted areas, then extracts dirt, stains, and odours in one pass. This is especially effective on seats, footwells, and high-traffic areas, leaving interiors visibly cleaner and fresher.

    Kärcher Wet & Dry Vacuum -

    Our Kärcher wet and dry vacuum allows us to tackle both dry debris and liquid spills. With powerful suction, it’s perfect for removing sand, dust, pet hair, and moisture from carpets, mats, and hard-to-reach areas. This ensures a thorough interior clean before finishing treatments are applied.

    Kärcher Steam Cleaner -

    The Kärcher steam cleaner uses high-temperature steam to sanitise and lift stubborn grime without the need for harsh chemicals. It’s excellent for vents, crevices, plastics, and hard surfaces, killing bacteria and breaking down grease while being safe for interior materials. This helps us achieve a hygienic, detailed finish.

  • If, after a service, you notice an issue with your vehicle whether that be damage or the service wasn’t as you expected, please email our support team at support@whitecliffdetailing.com who will be able to help. Please allow up to 12 hours for a response.

  • At White Cliff Detailing we wish to ensure the safety of both the business, the staff and the customer. That’s why we have detailed polices outlining our conditions of service. Said policies can be found by pressing the shortcut buttons at the bottom of this page. Policies are scary to read, blunt and to the point. Please remember we are always happy to discuss any issues and are a friendly hard working team. Do not hesitate to ping us a message if you have any concerns.

However, we politely request that you allow for up to 12 hours for a response as we do experience busy periods from time to time.
